Summary:

VFG Sports Performance Little Rock is actively looking for a dedicated Softball Coaching Specialist in the Player Development Department. This role involves the training and guidance of young athletes, with a particular emphasis on hitting techniques.


Key Responsibilities:

The Softball Coaching Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive hitting and/or pitching training program.
  • Designing daily practice sessions tailored for athletes.
  • Evaluating player performance utilizing various analytical tools and technologies.
  • Creating and overseeing personalized development plans for each athlete, focusing on improvement areas.
  • Working closely with the Strength Coach and Performance staff to address physical challenges and opportunities.
  • Effectively communicating objectives, progress, and feedback to athletes and their families.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in collegiate or professional softball.
  • Ability to adapt and implement new strategies based on evolving information and tools in the sport.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous playing experience at a professional or collegiate level is advantageous.


Additional Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and carry weights up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods, including bending, reaching, and swinging a bat.
