The Lead Electrician is a critical role in the CITY OF MADERA's Public Works Department, responsible for overseeing and performing complex electrical maintenance and installation tasks. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

• Lead and oversee electrical maintenance and installation activities
• Perform complex electrical work, including testing, installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Review and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and work methods
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations

• Equivalent of three (3) years of full-time advanced journey-level experience in electrical maintenance and installation
• One year of full-time experience providing lead or first-line supervisory direction
• High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by some directly related college-level coursework
• Possession of a valid General Electrician certification by the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards
• Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license
