Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Patient Safety Programs: Design, implement, and coordinate patient safety programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Provide Expertise and Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert in patient safety and provide guidance to healthcare professionals on the implementation of patient safety programs.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analysis to identify potential safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including risk managers, quality managers, and medical staff, to ensure effective implementation of patient safety programs.
- Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on patient safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and Evaluate Patient Safety Programs: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient safety programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- A bachelor's degree in a nursing or healthcare-related field.
- Four (4) years minimum experience in a healthcare-related field, with military inpatient facility experience highly desired.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently, organize time, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to pay attention to detail and effectively communicate patient safety concepts to leadership and healthcare staff.
- Experience with patient safety aspects of healthcare accreditation is highly desirable.
- Documented experience with performing Comprehensive Systematic Analysis (CSAs) and Proactive Risk Assessment (PRAs).
- Bachelor's level skills in written and oral communications, public speaking, and fostering positive interpersonal relationships.
- The ability to work collaboratively with risk managers and quality managers.
