Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at Bethesda Group, LLC. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

• Oversee all functions of meal preparation, ensuring that meals are nutritious, tasty, and presented professionally.
• Assist in creating menus that meet the residents' nutritional needs and accommodate their food preferences.
• Cook meals according to established recipes and menus, maintaining proper temperatures and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including the storeroom, coolers, and equipment.
• Assist in planning and cooking special meals, such as holidays and events.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information and protect their rights.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents, families, and guests.

• High school graduate or equivalent, with culinary training preferred.
• Knowledge of menu planning for geriatric residents, including restricted diets.
• Excellent cooking and baking skills, with the ability to expand recipes.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and maintain a positive attitude.

The work environment is a restaurant-style kitchen with heat, steam, and cold temperatures. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, as well as standing for long periods and ambulating from the kitchen to the dining room.
