Pipefitter/Welder Specialist

At HTH Companies, we are seeking a skilled Pipefitter/Welder to join our team. As a key member of our industrial services team, you will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining various piping systems to ensure smooth operation.

• Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials.
• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
• Gather equipment and materials for the job.
• Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes.
• Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps.
• Install various types of pipe covering and safely remove and discard old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
• Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and report and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
• Comply with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the HTH Companies' Safety Program.

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
