About the Role
As a Clinical Staff Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the clinical expertise of our ambulatory care team. You'll collaborate closely with leadership and educators to develop and deliver impactful training programs that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive education programs tailored to the needs of our clinicians and support staff.
- Monitor staff participation in training initiatives and provide constructive feedback to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Lead the implementation of training for new policies, procedures, and best practices within the ambulatory care setting.
- Collaborate with clinic leadership to identify areas requiring additional education and provide valuable insights on clinical quality, compliance, and performance improvement.
- Manage competency files for all staff members and maintain a well-organized training room environment.
Your Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant certification
- In-depth knowledge of patient care equipment, anatomy, medical terminology, quality assurance, and quality control requirements
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to identify performance improvement opportunities
- Proficiency in navigating computer software
- Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Director of Ambulatory Patient Care Services
Work Environment
This role requires adherence to general safety standards to minimize exposure to infectious diseases. Daily contact with infectious diseases and body fluids is expected. Knowledge of blood borne pathogens is essential.
Physical Demands
The position involves bending, stooping, lifting up to 35 lbs, reaching above head and below knee level, and practicing proper body mechanics.
