We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting physicians during non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the unit for non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
- Present instrumentation and equipment to the physician in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare sterile fields for procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
- Obtain and prepare physician equipment for procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, addressing their concerns and ensuring they are properly prepped and draped.
- Enter patient and procedural information into our computer system.
- Monitor patient status during procedures, collecting data and calculations for physician interpretation.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively, adhering to departmental standards and safety guidelines.
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required.
- Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required.
- 1-3 years of technical experience, required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration in Cardiac Interventional required within 18 months of entering the position.
The salary range for this position is $56.26-$66.01/hour. Northwell Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
