Job Summary:

The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of the Integrated Health Services Director to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders. You will be responsible for performing psychiatric evaluations and mental health status examinations, assessing patient physical conditions, and making appropriate referrals for medical treatment.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health status examinations
  • Assess patient physical conditions and make appropriate referrals for medical treatment
  • Provide liaison and consultation between the Agency and the medical community as needed
  • Participate in staff meetings and maintain current clinical competency by continued education in psychiatry
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Valid Oklahoma licensure as a Physician's Assistant
  • At least two (2) years experience in treating patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Broad knowledge of psychopharmacology
  • Ability to perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health status examinations
  • Ability to assess patient physical conditions and make appropriate referrals for medical treatment
