Job Title: Mid-Level Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team at Enercon Services. As a key member of our West Coast Nuclear Service Group, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for our nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review and check designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
  • Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with designated work assignments
  • Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems and implement innovative solutions
  • Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up
  • Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering design
  • Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations
  • Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Uranium enrichment facility experience or equivalent nuclear facility experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements, particularly 10CFR70 is preferred
  • Ensures plant designs contain adequate safety features based on best nuclear industrial facility practices and lessons learned
  • The ability to lead and mentor an engineering team is highly desirable and preferred
  • Ability to periodically travel to New Mexico is required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance. A current DOE clearance is preferred
