Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant will carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Creates, implements, and executes patient treatment plans
  • Communicates with patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team
  • Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements and as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements
  • Develops and enhances clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional development
  • Reports any changes in patient status or needs to Director of Rehab and interdisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Current Florida License as a PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant)
  • Current CPR
  • At least one (1) experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
