Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' fine and gross motor skills to establish eligibility for therapy programs and formulate treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to synchronize occupational therapy services and craft individualized treatment strategies.
  • Design interventions and educational resources to address motor skill challenges while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Identify physical barriers and suggest suitable assistive technologies to support students with mobility challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, including treatment plans, activity logs, and billing documentation.
  • Engage in professional development activities such as meetings and workshops to share insights and collaborate with peers.
  • Prepare documentation, including treatment plans and reports, to accurately reflect therapy activities and student progress.
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on skill development in alignment with established goals.
  • Investigate resources and methodologies to effectively address students' functional needs.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students requiring further individualized assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Arizona.
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist, particularly in an educational context, is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of motor skills assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and other professionals.
