About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker/Assistant to join our team at Ciena Healthcare, Michigan's largest provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by performing various duties including:

  • Maintaining facility plant and equipment to enhance resident comfort and quality of life.
  • Conducting scheduled maintenance throughout the physical plant and for all equipment.
  • Maintaining and testing emergency power systems to ensure availability of power.
  • Ensuring all essential equipment is in safe operating condition.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, general carpentry, dry wall repair, and other relevant trades.
  • Vocational training in skilled trades or other relevant training is preferred.

Compensation

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $16-18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes:
