As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, you will be responsible for administering anesthetic care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluations.
- Select, obtain, and administer anesthetic agents, including induction, maintenance, and emergence phase anesthesia.
- Recognize and respond to alterations in physiologic responses to surgical procedures and/or anesthesia, taking appropriate action and notifying the responsible physician as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association, preferred.
You will also need to have a Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Anesthesia Practice or Nursing Practice.
