Role Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to execute yard movements safely, efficiently, and promptly, as instructed by dispatch and plant management, utilizing company-owned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Engagement
    • Adhere strictly to established safety protocols and procedures to achieve Plan To Zero (PTZ).
    • Operate in compliance with CSA Basics.
    • Complete all necessary vehicle inspections, yard checks, and related documentation.
  • Quality Maintenance
    • Perform yard moves efficiently and in a timely manner as directed.
    • Communicate effectively with management regarding equipment needs and repairs.
    • Engage professionally with site personnel, customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Production Management
    • Understand and meet production expectations consistently.
    • May require safe operation of a Forklift (training and certification will be provided if needed).
    • Handle loading/unloading of trailers, and manage pallets, freight, products, and supplies.
    • Complete additional tasks as assigned by site leadership.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work effectively within a diverse team environment.

General Duties

    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned vehicles as directed.
    • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Current CDL Class A License.
  • Current DOT Physical Card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass Random Drug Screens.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
