Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at RESA Power. As a key member of our shop operations team, you will be responsible for receiving and carrying out work assignments from management and internal customers. These assignments will support shop operations and customer orders, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electrical distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of electrical and mechanical equipment to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot, test, maintain, redesign, rebuild, retrofit, and repair electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit switchgear, and breakers.
  • Complete test reports to company and customer standards and timelines, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide exceptional service.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including NETA, OSHA, IEEE, and NFPA.
  • Proven mechanical skills and experience with low and high voltage equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report creation.
