Job Summary

Tesla is seeking a skilled Gas and Chemical Systems Operations Engineer to join the Facilities team at Gigafactory Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience with gas and chemical system operations, including systems monitoring, sustaining operations, maintenance, and process/equipment improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze data to identify trends and ensure processes are running within specifications
  • Apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts and root cause failure analysis to open-ended problems
  • Evaluate process requirements and specify new gas and chemical delivery systems as required
  • Coordinate commissioning of equipment and facilities, operating philosophy, and overall control
  • Develop and execute pre-startup and operation procedures, process and equipment
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of gas and chemical systems operations experience; semiconductor facility, refining or battery manufacturing facility support preferred
  • Hazardous production material (HPM) expertise
  • Strong data and system analysis
  • Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution
