Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ohio Steel Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our plastic extrusion equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to ensure proper functioning.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose equipment breakdowns, and implement corrective measures to resolve issues promptly.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to production staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the facility, including performing repairs and updates as needed to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum five to ten years of maintenance/electrical experience, with experience in extrusion-related maintenance preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations, ability to stand for extended periods, and ability to read electronic schematics.
  • Qualifications: Two years of training in a vocational/technical school electronics program preferred.
