Job Overview

At hth companies, we are seeking a skilled Travel Pipefitter to join our team. As a key member of our industrial services team, you will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining various piping systems to ensure smooth operation.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and install piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials, including pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
  • Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
  • Gather equipment and materials for the job, ensuring timely completion.
  • Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes to meet project requirements.
  • Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps, cutting or boring holes as needed.
  • Install various types of pipe covering, safely removing and disposing of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
  • Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and report and resolve any issues.
  • Coordinate with managers to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Comply with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  • Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
  • Actively champion a positive workplace and safety culture.
Requirements
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
