The Episcopal Academy, located 16 miles outside of Philadelphia, seeks a Waterfront Educator to join their summer camps team.
As a Waterfront Educator, you will be responsible for guiding children throughout the camp experience, assisting them with daily activities and programs, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
You will implement pool supervision as a lifeguard, teach group swim lessons to children of all ages and skill levels, and implement lesson plans and activities to meet the individual needs of each swimmer.
A successful candidate will also demonstrate positive reinforcement techniques to motivate and encourage students to reach their goals, have a flexible work schedule, and be responsible for group supervision of students with attention to behavior and group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development.
The ideal candidate will possess a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required prior to start of camp, previous experience working with children (preferred), and the ability to push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds.
This is a seasonal position, running from June 2 to August 1. Typical hours for pool staff are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm day with an option to work an extended day.

The estimated salary for this position is $25,000-$35,000 per year, based on location and experience.
