Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee and develop Transportation Managers and drivers to achieve safety, service, and cost targets.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery reliability, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal DOT regulations, and interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements in union facilities.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze daily performance measures, identify weaknesses, and recommend changes to ensure productivity objectives are achieved.
  • Team Development: Build high-performing teams by reviewing staffing requirements, monitoring interviewing and hiring, and coaching to achieve service and safety targets.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures; strong leadership, communication, and people development skills; ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in an office environment and spend time in a truck with drivers, exposed to noise and vibration levels.
