Position Overview:
The Criminal Evidence Analyst is tasked with the meticulous examination of evidence provided by law enforcement agencies. This role is pivotal in interpreting results and preparing comprehensive reports. The analyst is also expected to provide expert testimony regarding their findings in legal settings.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a variety of analytical tests across multiple disciplines, including:
    - Chemistry (Controlled Substances, Trace Evidence, Toxicology)
    - Biology (DNA, CODIS, Serology)
    - Digital Evidence Analysis
    - Latent Print Analysis
    - Firearms/Toolmarks Analysis
2. Document evidence thoroughly and prepare detailed reports that outline the analytical methods and techniques utilized, ensuring clarity for legal authorities.
3. Provide expert witness testimony in court regarding the analysis and conclusions drawn from evidence.
4. Stay updated with the latest scientific advancements by researching literature and collaborating with peers.
5. Participate in proficiency testing programs to maintain high standards of practice.
6. Offer training and technical support to law enforcement personnel, attorneys, and public officials.
7. Conduct crime scene investigations upon request from law enforcement.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a formal education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a natural science, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a forensic laboratory setting. A strong understanding of forensic analysis principles, laboratory equipment, and relevant laws and regulations is essential.

- Proficient in forensic analytical methods and techniques.
