Job Summary

We seek an experienced Sports Medicine Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sports medicine department, you will be responsible for evaluating physical conditions, advising and treating athletes to maintain maximum physical fitness for participation in athletic competition.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates physical conditions and advises and treats athletes to maintain maximum physical fitness for participation in athletic competition.
  • Performs assessment of injury or condition and takes appropriate follow-up steps to ensure safe and proper care.
  • Prescribes routine, preventive, and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles, increase balance, and improve flexibility.
  • Provides practice, game/event coverage for assigned area.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and provides assessment, stabilization, and first aid.
  • Makes recommendations for athletic participation and return-to-sport guidelines.
  • Completes accurate documentation of assessment and referrals.
  • Referred athletes to physician for continued care per protocol.
  • Perform manual techniques and utilize taping and bracing to relieve symptoms and improve function.
  • Collaborate with sports medicine providers, physicians, and other allied health professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Athletic Training.
  • Licensed as an athletic trainer in WI, IL, or both if required.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
  • BOC certification.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $85,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location.
