Tandem Diabetes Care is a leader in the diabetes technology industry, and we're looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software validation test plans, preparing and reviewing software test plan reports, and performing software test audits in compliance with test plan procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement software validation test plans
  • Prepare and review software test plan reports
  • Perform software test audits
  • Assist product development engineers in diagnosing and replicating product failures
  • Oversee and identify actual or potential problems in test plans
  • Manage own time to complete work and associated paperwork by assigned completion dates
  • Record and compile data for documentation of test procedures and prepare reports
  • Review data for compliance to specifications, recognize events outside the norm, and report abnormalities
  • Estimate test efforts for new project deliverables
  • Plan and implement test strategies for system upgrades
  • Work as a contributing member of cross-functional teams as needed
  • Provide on-the-job training and direction to less experienced staff as assigned
  • Confirm completion of required training plan for software testers before job responsibilities are assumed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or CS or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
  • 3+ years' experience with software test or quality assurance
  • Experience as a lead tester who fully participates in specification and clarification of software requirements
  • Must have experience as a test engineer with expertise in the system they support
  • Experience with creation, Design Change Assessments, and participation in the software review board
  • Experience in proof reading, following detailed work instructions, and projects requiring critical thinking skills
