Accounting Specialist

A reputable accounting firm is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support their accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing processes.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing and payments.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems for financial documents.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Previous experience as an accounting clerk or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Physical Setting: Office

Schedule: Monday to Friday
