Anesthesia Technician

Role Summary:

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for executing assigned tasks related to the setup and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies, as well as assisting in the placement of intravenous lines. This role involves preparing patients and ensuring that all necessary tools and materials are readily available and functioning properly. The technician also maintains a clean environment for equipment and prioritizes patient safety.

Operating Room / Cardiovascular Operating Room Details

  • Handles approximately 6,500 surgical procedures each year.
  • Supports a wide range of specialties, excluding ENT and Eye, with a focus on neuro and spine procedures.
  • Comprises 10 operating rooms, including 2 specifically designated for cardiovascular operations.
  • Operates continuously throughout the year, 24 hours a day.

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a relevant healthcare setting, ideally within an operating room, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • After two years of service, the technician is required to successfully complete the Technician certification examination through the ASATT.
