At Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back of House Shift Lead to support our Kitchen Manager in overseeing kitchen operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Quality Control: Ensure adherence to food preparation processes and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and front-of-house team to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the kitchen and dining areas.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Recipe Development and Standardization: Develop and maintain standard recipes and cooking procedures for consistent quality and presentation of food.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels, assist in ordering, and manage stock rotation.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and improve kitchen processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Food Preparation and Delivery: Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and front-of-house team to coordinate food preparation and delivery.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Skills: Prior experience in a BOH Shift Lead or similar role in a restaurant setting, strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Leadership and Communication: Leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Inventory Management: Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
