Job Summary

The Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide professional and courteous service to all customers of Ogden Clinic, including patients, affiliates, providers, administration, employees, co-workers, and insurance company representatives.
  2. Ensure applicable regulatory requirements are complied with and follow guidelines that maintain safety for oneself, patients, visitors, and co-workers.
  3. Study, understand, and adhere to all Clinic Policies and Procedures and OSHA guidelines.
  4. Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan.
  5. Obtain informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures.
  6. Manage the patient's airway and respiratory system before, during, and after a medical procedure.
  7. Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  8. Prepare and set up equipment, layout supplies, prepare necessary gases, medications, and administer anesthetics.
  9. Perform regular patient vitals and legibly record findings in the patient records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • Valid state CRNA licensure.
  • Current ACLS and/or BLS as required by the clinic or surgical center.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting documents, and able to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and effectively participate as a team member.
  • Must protect confidential information, records, and/or reports.
