Position Overview:
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is actively seeking an Adult Psychiatrist for a role focused on outpatient care. The outpatient services encompass general mental health treatment for individuals of all ages, as well as specialized care for patients experiencing their initial episode of psychosis, a dialectical behavioral therapy program, a clinic for Hispanic patients, and services tailored for individuals with intellectual disabilities and the LGBTQI+ community. Additionally, the role includes management of Clozaril and long-acting injectables, along with support for patients facing both psychiatric challenges and substance use disorders.
In collaboration with the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, our department provides staffing for both outpatient and partial hospitalization programs catering to children and adults, operates 89 inpatient beds, and offers ECT and other neuromodulation services, alongside an Advancement In Recovery program for addiction treatment.

Qualifications:
- Must hold an MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program is required.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with certification expected within 3 years of hire.
- Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA certification.
- Strong clinical and teaching skills, with potential for scientific and scholarly contributions.
