Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mammographic procedures while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procedure Performance: Conduct a variety of mammographic procedures using independent judgment to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate radiographic, mammographic, ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy machines, as well as mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Patient Safety: Protect patients from radiation exposure by using lead shields and safety protocols.
  • Image Quality: Select the proper film size, collimate, and position equipment to produce clear, diagnostic radiographs.
  • Collaboration: Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures by setting radiographic technique factors and preparing opaque media.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on mammography equipment and replace emergency trays and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Maintain Quality Control/Quality Assurance in accordance with MQSA programs, ACR, FDA, and TDH standards and regulations.
  • Patient Care: Demonstrate competence in patient care responsibilities and adapt care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, with 1 year of experience in Mammography.
  • Certifications: Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography, and current state licensure.
  • Skills: Strong communication and behavioral skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule

Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
