Key Responsibilities- Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs to address student needs.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide evidence-based therapy services to students, utilizing a range of techniques and strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and ensure effective communication.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Maintain compliance with school district policies and state regulations, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid California SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start date.
- Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; will consider Clinical Fellows (CFs).
- Experience: Experience in a school setting is an advantage, but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- SLPA Consideration: SLPAs will not be considered for this position.
