Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will play a pivotal role in providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to students with communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities and identify areas of need.
- Treatment and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and educational settings.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust intervention plans as needed to promote growth and achievement.
- Professional Development: Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, progress reports, and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Credentialing: California Educator Credential in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
