Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced travel nurse RN with expertise in psychiatric care to join their team in Danville, Kentucky.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned psychiatric nurse to work in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting. As a Senior Psychiatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading groups, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Lead group therapy sessions and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse in adult/geriatric psychiatric inpatient hospital settings
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of practice
  • CPR certification and ability to obtain AVADE upon orientation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
