Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous Mammography Sonographer to become a vital part of the healthcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the precise diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working remotely, you will apply your technical skills to perform mammography examinations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and upholding the highest levels of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mammography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Comply with the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit proficiency in minimizing patient exposure during imaging processes.
- Evaluate patient needs, exercising care, discretion, and sound judgment, always acting in the patient's best interest.
- Collaborate with clinical personnel to gather essential information for diagnosis and treatment management.
- Ensure accurate outpatient coding by assigning the correct ICD-10-CM and/or CPT-4 codes for mammography services.
- Thoroughly review medical records and utilize all available documentation to effectively code diagnoses and procedures.
- Address coding issues and resolve ADT edits, physician inquiries, and missing documentation.
- Follow industry guidelines and resources to accurately select appropriate diagnoses and procedures.
- Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks for each mammography examination.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or a two-year college training program with clinical education in an accredited healthcare environment. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in mammography imaging is preferred.
- Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) and CPR certification are mandatory.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in mammography scanning techniques.
- Active membership in professional associations related to sonography and mammography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
