About the Role: ProLocums seeks an experienced Pathology Physician for a 8-hour-per-day solo practice in anatomic and clinical pathology. This opportunity is ideal for pathologists with expertise in GYN pathology and heavy small GI biopsy volume.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily histopathological examinations of biopsies and surgical specimens
- Analyze tissue samples, including small GI biopsies, and make accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with consulting pathologists at a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Participate in regular tumor boards and breast pretreatment conferences at the Medical Center for Continuing Medical Education (CME)
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to medical standards and regulations
Work Environment: The work environment is stable, with a rare need for after-hours call and no weekend call required. The Medical Center offers a comprehensive support system, including courier service and access to advanced diagnostic tools.
Requirements: To be considered, candidates must hold Board Certification in Pathology and have experience in anatomic and clinical pathology. Proficiency in Cerner EMR systems is also necessary. A strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role.
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $600,000 to over $700,000, depending on location and experience.
