This role is a full-time position, requiring a strong commitment to onsite collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of internet technologies, including DNS, security protocols, IP routing, and secure file transfer methods.
  • Utilizing advanced IP network technologies and performance monitoring tools, particularly focusing on layers 2 and 3.
  • Developing and maintaining custom scripts to enhance system performance and minimize manual intervention.
  • Applying analytical skills to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing and monitoring intrusion prevention systems, data loss prevention tools, and other security technologies.
  • Engaging in the architecture and management of network security solutions, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborating on network and system designs to implement robust security policies.
  • Ensuring that documentation related to security standards and design is current and accurate.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of LAN/WAN security protocols and applications.
  • Implementing advanced security data analytics capabilities using SEIM technologies.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be necessary based on project needs.

Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A minimum of a High School Diploma with 15 years of relevant experience, including 8 years in the DoD, or a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD.

An adjudicated DoD Top Secret Security clearance is required on the first day of employment.

Familiarity with cybersecurity practices in DoD cloud environments is essential.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps, is preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for discussing complex technical topics.
