Overview

At Imperial Ferndale, we seek Bartenders who are not only skilled but also approachable and knowledgeable about both classic and innovative cocktails. The ideal candidate will exhibit a friendly demeanor, possess strong communication skills, and be able to retain detailed information about our drink offerings and specials, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Bartender duties include, but are not limited to:

• Mastering the preparation of all cocktails, including those not listed on the menu.
• Delivering friendly and efficient service to all patrons.
• Managing food and drink orders promptly from both guests and staff.
• Assisting in monitoring liquor inventory and notifying management when supplies are low.
• Updating staff on liquor availability and ensuring the 86 list is current.
• Processing guest payments accurately.
• Delegating tasks to barbacks as necessary.
• Providing menu information over the phone and giving accurate delivery time estimates.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Filling in for absent staff when required.
• Supporting special events as needed.
• Consistently adhering to grooming and appearance standards.
• Addressing customer service issues promptly and referring to management when necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of bartending experience is preferred.
• SERV Safe or TIPS certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Dress Code

All staff must adhere to the following dress code:

• All black attire without stripes, polka dots, or graphics.
• Closed-toe shoes with backs (color is flexible).
• No tank tops or spaghetti straps.
• Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be of appropriate length.
• No leggings or yoga pants.
• No sheer clothing.
• Company shirts may be worn if available.
• No rips or tears in clothing.
• Accessories can be personalized, but hats must be solid black.
• Face masks are required; any color or pattern is acceptable.

Work Environment

The position operates in a standard restaurant setting with moderate to loud noise levels and frequent exposure to varying temperatures and steam.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Bend, squat, run, and react physically in a timely manner.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods.
