Job Overview

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the AFINC II contract with the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26NOS) in Montgomery, AL. This position plays a critical role in the intranet support of the entire Air Force network, including the operation and defense of the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement LAN/WAN network architectures to support data center migration.
  • Configure and manage LAN/WAN setups, including TCP/IP protocols, routing/switching configurations, and firewall technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, such as performance analysis, protocol problems, hardware failures, and WAN/LAN connectivity issues.
  • Deploy and configure VoIP components, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve technology issues, leveraging various internal and external resources.
  • Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible network engineering experience with Cisco platforms.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (Day, Mid, or Night).
  • 10% travel required.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, MIS, or a related field preferred.
  • Must have and maintain Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and CompTIA Security+ CE certifications.

Clearance:

Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
