Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Lahiri Laboratory in the Department of Neurology.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking research projects focused on the intersection of acute systemic disease and neurocognitive function.
As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and performing experiments, maintaining experimental records, and analyzing results with the Principal Investigator.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement new research techniques and protocols, and participate in publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Perform Experiments: Conduct experiments to investigate the intersection of acute systemic disease and neurocognitive function.
- Maintain Experimental Records: Accurately record and document experimental procedures and results.
- Analyze Results: Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to analyze and interpret experimental results.
- Develop and Implement New Techniques: Develop and implement new research techniques and protocols to advance the research project.
- Participate in Publications: Participate in the preparation and submission of research papers for publication.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Doctorate (PhD) in Neuroscience or a related field: A PhD in Neuroscience or a related field is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in areas such as neurological, cardiac, and pulmonary physiology, molecular/cellular biology.
- Experience in Microvascular Animal Surgery: Experience in microvascular animal surgery, including intubation, mechanical ventilation, and microvascular catheterization.
