LPN Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, communicate effectively, and document residents' health status.
  • Monitor and report any notable changes in resident behavior and health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee and guide the daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to Lead Resident Care Assistants in their roles.
  • Coordinate care requirements with community providers through effective case management.
  • Balance service demands while promoting resident independence.
  • Identify and assist in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, reporting to the necessary authorities.
  • Respond to emergencies and utilize personal emergency response systems appropriately.

Job Qualifications

LPN Qualifications:

  • Valid state license as an LPN and current CPR certification
  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program (as per state requirements)
  • Preferred 1 to 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Previous experience with elderly populations in a paid or volunteer capacity is highly desirable.
