Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Radiology Education Programs at Emory University. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in program management, education, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Assist in directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs in radiology education, including residencies, fellowships, medical student education, and visiting professorships.
  • Leadership and Representation: Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events, and may develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of program(s).
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings, and networking with affiliated groups.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines, and participate in planning, administering, and monitoring program-related budgets.
  • Research and Collaboration: Conduct research, design new initiatives, and collaborate with others to ensure program(s) remain viable, and may serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.
  • Supervision and Reporting: May supervise staff, oversee or assist in developing operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies, and ensure required records and documentation are maintained.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a team leader and supervisor to clerkship coordinator and program coordinators, including direct supervision of 3 or more individuals.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead strategic planning and implementation efforts for Radiology Education Programs.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Maintain accreditation and meet all regulatory requirements and relevant deadlines.
  • Financial Management: Manage/monitor the Radiology Education budgets.
  • Liaison and Representation: Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for Radiology Education Programs, as a liaison to the School of Medicine (SOM) and national-level organizations as required.
  • Consultation and Representation: Serve as a consultant to residency and fellowship program directors on accreditation, operational, HR, and other matters, and represent Radiology Education Programs at national level by attending conferences and engaging in special work groups.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program-related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and managing or directing multiple programs in a large and complex organizational setting, prior supervisory experience, and prior medical education experience.
