Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee our Red Team, a collective of adept and seasoned professionals dedicated to conducting Red Team assessments within our environment. In this leadership role, you will be tasked with shaping the vision, strategy, and operational roadmap for Red Team activities, including penetration testing, while ensuring the delivery of high-caliber, mission-focused security evaluations. You will also guide the team, facilitate ongoing training, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Formulate and execute the Red Team strategy, roadmap, and budget, ensuring alignment with the Global Security framework and organizational goals.
  • Design and implement collaborative testing scenarios with essential partners (Blue and Purple teams) to enhance overall security posture.
  • Replicate real-world attack scenarios to uncover vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors.
  • Oversee all phases of scoping, planning, execution, and reporting for Red Team and Purple Team engagements, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and legal obligations.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of test outcomes and supervise the reporting process that details findings, exploitation methods, risks, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Information Security Risk Management team regarding findings and risk assessment protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on attack and penetration testing engagements.
  • Lead offensive initiatives by assessing performance quality, setting team objectives, and managing resources effectively.
  • Ensure the team delivers impactful engagements that meet or surpass company expectations and align with industry benchmarks.
  • Manage team dynamics, including recruitment, performance evaluation, career progression, and retention strategies.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, risk officers, and product development teams.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Direct penetration testing projects encompassing network, cloud, wireless, web application, and infrastructure assessments.

Qualifications for Success

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing cybersecurity or offensive security teams.
  • Expertise and practical experience in various domains of offensive security, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, exploit development, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, capable of inspiring and mentoring a diverse and committed team.
  • Exceptional customer service, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • A demonstrated history of developing and executing successful strategic plans and budgets that contribute to overall risk mitigation.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSWE, GPEN, GXPN, or equivalent are highly desirable.
