Parking Attendant Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Parking Attendant to join our team at Powder Mountain. As a Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient entry and exit of guests to our parking areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Vehicle Traffic: Clearly communicate with guests using words and hand motions to safely direct vehicles into parking spaces, maximizing lot utilization.
  • Parking Lot Setup and Teardown: Daily setup and teardown of parking lot signs and cones to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Guest Service: Provide excellent guest service and knowledge of information in all aspects of Powder Mountain, including resort amenities and services.
  • Enforcement of Parking Rules: Calmly and professionally enforce parking lot rules and regulations to guests and employees, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with carrying guest equipment as necessary, collect and recycle waste daily found in and around parking areas, and perform other duties as assigned in various mountain departments needing assistance.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in parking lot direction or traffic control is preferred.
  • Guest-Facing Role: Professional experience working in a guest-facing role is required.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexible schedule with the ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
  • Weather Conditions: Desire to work at 9,000ft in inclement weather.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day and safely lift 50 Lb (23 Kg).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate in English.
  • Age Requirement: 18+ years old.
