Position: School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school team. This role involves providing occupational therapy services, conducting assessments, and developing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students. Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs to support students' functional and educational goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to promote students' cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to setting educational goals and developing strategies for student success.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an OT.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
