Math Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Instructor to join our team at Mathnasium of Chesapeake. As a Math Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for our students.

• Deliver exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, fostering a love for math and promoting academic success.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring they feel confident in our program and its value.
• Stay up-to-date with digital educational materials and processes, utilizing them to enhance the learning experience.
• Teach in-center, online, and/or hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, which include individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions, collaborating with team members to provide the best possible experience for students.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
• Maintain a clean and professional learning environment, supporting the overall success of our students.
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our center.

• A passion for math and working with students, with a strong commitment to education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
• The ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• A willingness to learn and be trained, embracing ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
