About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Winterberry Heights. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing consistent and quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
  • Respond to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provide or obtain assistance with care as necessary
  • Assist in the dining room during resident meal times
  • Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings, and assist with those activities as needed
  • Assist in the cleanliness of the community, including straightening resident beds, emptying resident garbage, and tidying resident rooms daily and as needed
  • Assist with resident laundry per shift guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members
  • Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to pass the necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations
