About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an Optometrist to work with us providing refractions and eyeglass fittings, as well as treatment, to Military Service members in the State of Iowa. The primary work schedule will be weekends, with occasional weekdays on an "as needed" basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing refractions and eyeglass fittings using equipment provided by DOCS Health
  • Meeting the medical requirements for a deployable military force
  • Providing health readiness services for the following branches:
  1. U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
  2. Army National Guard (ARNG)
  3. U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
  4. U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
  5. U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
  6. Air National Guard (ANG)
  7. U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted license/certification in the state of Iowa
  • Availability for weekends and occasional weekdays
  • Passionate, friendly, and caring attitude
  • Experience working with the military is preferred
