Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall sanitation of kitchen equipment and maintain safety standards for food preparation.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of patient diets and preferences.
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and customers through strong written and verbal skills.
  • Attend all required meetings, trainings, and education programs to stay up-to-date on department-specific safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions and wear proper identification while on duty.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of on-the-job training in food cooking principles preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in food preparation, cooking, and sanitation and safety principles.
  • Food Handlers Certification required.
Working Conditions

The majority of the work is sedentary, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Work is light with some reaching, handling, and fingering to operate office machines.
