Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by physicians, adhering to ONS standards and guidelines.
  • Accurately and safely dispose of biohazardous waste, following OSHA and HRS guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document treatment rendered in OncoEMR.
  • Ensure accurate charges are captured by following guidelines for medication administration.
  • Teach chemotherapy classes as needed, educating patients and families about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
  • Provide telephone triage, prioritizing calls and responding in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory and restocking medical supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
  • Have working knowledge of dispensing medications via Nucleus, performing cycle counts, and restocking medications.
  • Attend annual Safety/OSHA training meetings and mandatory staff meetings.
  • Maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist in training new employees and adhere to Company and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment, with experience in IV therapy.
  • Experience working with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Current CPR & BLS certifications.
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's license for travel to clinics.
