Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation of Radiation Treatment Plans: Develop and implement radiation treatment plans for patients, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
  • Collaboration with Medical Staff: Work closely with our medical staff to ensure that radiation treatment plans are aligned with patient needs and medical goals.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Maintain and improve the quality of radiation treatment plans and equipment, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior physicists and medical dosimetrists, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • Post-Doctoral Degree in Physics: A post-doctoral degree in physics from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Experience in Radiation Physics: A minimum of three to five years of experience in radiation physics is required.
  • Certification and Licensure: Certification and licensure in medical physics are required, as well as the ability to maintain certification and licensure requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position is a fast-paced radiation oncology department, with frequent contact with patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex information to patients and medical staff, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
