Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Belleville, IL.

About the Job

This Gastroenterology Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of gastroenterology principles and practices, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of digestive diseases.
  • Strong technical proficiency in performing endoscopic procedures (if applicable).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
  • Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Fellowship training in gastroenterology (may be preferred depending on the position).
  • Board certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA.
  • An active and unrestricted medical license in Illinois.
